Bishop McDevitt Scrimmage

What a difference a week can make particularly when that week represents a 100% increase in practice time!

With another incredible 400+ fans out on a very humid and muggy late afternoon the Panther scored repeatedly against a McDevitt team that was still trying to find some answers on both defense and offense.

To be fair to the Royal Lancers they have only had one week of practice in pads compared to the two weeks for the Panthers. That being said the Panthers showed great speed, particularly around the corners, and some aerial attacks which were picture perfect.

Both the Panther defensive and offensive lines showed much higher level of coordination and timing as virtually every offensive play gained yards, some for big break-out yardage and touchdowns, and almost every pass found it's mark.

The Panther defense kept McDevitt from even threatening let alone scoring.

It was a good show for the Panther fans and highlighted some of this squads capabilities.

Strath Haven will have to forget about the scrimmage and prepare for their first big test this Friday night when the Sun Valley Vanguards come to George L. King Field for the first game of the season. Kick off is at 7:30 and if you can't make the game you can listen to it live right here at Havenfootball.net.
