TRANSPORTATION, PARKING, AND TICKET PROCEDURES

FOR

HOME FOOTBALL GAMES

STRATH HAVEN HIGH SCHOOL

2007 SEASON

For the 2007 season, as a result of middle school construction, changes are in place for transporting fans, parking, and purchasing tickets for all home football games.  There will be no access to the lot on Copples Lane, and no entrance from the gate adjacent to the lot at Copples Lane.            

Home Game Schedule

Friday              August 31                     Sun Valley                                7:30 p.m.

Friday              September 7                 Ridley                                       7:30 p.m.

Friday              September 28               Marple Newtown                     7:30 p.m.

Friday              October 5                    Upper Darby (Homecoming)    7:30 p.m.

Friday              October 19                  Springfield                                7:30 p.m.

Getting to the Game

By Car: 

Those fans preferring to drive to the game should be aware that general parking will be available in the following lots:

Ø      Tennis courts behind Spencer House at the middle school

Ø      Lot behind Spencer House (also will be used for handicapped parking)

Ø      Gravel lot adjacent to middle school driveway

Ø      High school lot at Brookhaven Road entrance

The lots at the middle school will close for all cars except handicapped parking at 7:10 p.m. 

By Shuttle:

Those fans preferring to park closer to home will be provided shuttle service from two locations beginning at 6:00 p.m. and ending at 10:00 p.m., with shuttles running every 15 minutes.  The two locations are the St. John Chrysostom lot on Route 252 in Nether Providence and the CADES lot at Rutger’s Avenue Field in Swarthmore.  Fans are encouraged to use this mode of transportation to the games.  When parking at St. John’s, please park away from the church and closer to the school.

Purchasing Tickets

Fans should enter the ticketing area from the driveway adjacent to the middle school.  Two ticket booths will be located to the right of the gate.  Tickets will be $5.00 for adults and $2.00 for students.  Senior citizens may obtain a Silver Panthers Card which will provide free admission for all school district events, including all sporting events, by visiting Denise Basquill in the Office of the Superintendent at Summit School on Plush Mill Road during regular business hours.

Handicapped Parking

Drop off:

Those fans requiring drop-off will be permitted access to the middle school site, but will need to move to their automobiles to remote lots unless parking is available at time of drop-off. 

Pa rking:

Those fans requiring handicapped parking will be permitted access to the middle school site and will park at Spencer House. 

Designated Parking

Athletic officials, team doctor, and game workers will park in the designated area in front of the middle school.

Panther Band Entrance

The marching band will continue to process from the high school, across the bridge, and around the middle school.  The procession will take place from 7:05 p.m. -7:20 p.m.

Visiting Team Buses

Visiting team buses will be permitted to access the driveway adjacent to the middle school to drop off athletes and band members.  Team buses will remain at the middle school and park along the building.  Band buses will park at the St. John Chrysostom lot.
