Dear Parents, Students, and Staff of the WSSD Community,

Thank you to the many of you who have emailed, called, shared tributes, volunteered, offered support and shared in our community’s collective grief over Jack Hontz’ passing.  In a previous email to the entire community I shared the schedule for this weekend’s services, but I want to share additional details with you at this time.

On Friday, we are holding Jack’s family visitation at the high school.  The visitation will be open to the public at 1:00 p.m. and will go until 6:00 p.m..  Some students may be experiencing such a loss for the first time, and so I am sharing several details that may assist students and families in being prepared for the structure of the Friday visitation.  Jack was cremated, and so his remains will be present, but he will not appear as some might imagine for a standard viewing.  Jack’s wife Cindy and their children, his parents and siblings and their families will be present to receive visitors.
